Our Coaches
Coach Sharon Lomayesva
Coach Sharon began coaching at MHHS in 2010. She started out coaching JV and assisting with Varsity. Now she manages the team as well as coaching JV. Sharon is a former competition open water swimmer and triathlete. She has swum for five different masters swim teams and currently swims with Renegades Aquatics Masters in Escondido. She was also the Volunteer Coordinator and Meet Announcer for the ICAC Swim Club. She is the School Counselor at Twin Oaks Elementary School in San Marcos.

Coach Kevin Smith
Coach Kevin is the Varsity swim coach. He has been coaching at Mission Hills High School since 2014 and has coached both water polo and swim. He swam at Valley Center High School and was part of a CIF championship team. After graduation, he continued swimming, first at Palomar College and then Concordia University in Irvine. Kevin is a Physical Education teacher at San Elijo Middle School.

Coach Kendyl Mundt
Coach Kendyl is the assistant swim coach. She has been coaching Swim at MHHS since 2014. Kendyl began her competitive swim career when she was 7, when she started swimming for Pacific Swim. She then went on to swim for ICAC and she swam at MHHS all 4 years. After high school she went to Palomar where she continued to swim and was honored All American in the 200 fly. Kendyl enjoys coaching swim and is excited for this year.
